Tourism Brochure Exchange operates the ‘Tourism Hub’ a Visitor Information Centre on board the Spirit of Tasmania I & II. We provide guests with booking facilities, information and range of tourism services. Our services also include a statewide brochure distribution network, digital screen network and event marketing services.
About the role
Our Tourism Consultants work a rotating roster staying overnight on-board the Spirits whilst providing tourism information and booking service for both Tasmanian and Melbourne bound guests. You will also be required to with restock the ship with brochures and various other stock required on board. Shifts range from 4-8 hours. This role is offered as a casual position. Ideally based in the Devonport region, or the ability to travel to Devonport for the duration of rostered shifts.

Our staff have access to TT Line crew facilities whilst on board with all meals provided during the crossings. A private cabin is provided for the evening and day sails.
Skills and experience
The successful applicant will have an in depth knowledge of the Tasmanian tourism industry; including regions, attractions and be able help guests with itineraries. A medium level of computer knowledge. Be able to work unsupervised and with a small team.
Applicants will need to pass a Certificate of Medical Fitness from our specified provider and either hold be able to hold a Marine Security Identification Card and undergo a TT Line induction which TBE will pay for.
